Margot McCuaig is a writer and filmmaker. Her debut novel, The Birds That Never Flew, was published by Thunderpoint and was shortlisted for the Dundee International Book Prize and Longlisted for the Polari First Book Prize. She blogs about her writing, and various other topics, on her website, margotmccuaig.com. She is part of Kerry Hudson’s “Womentoring Project”, providing free mentoring to female writers.
Margot also writes, produces and directs documentary films and she won a Royal Television Society Scotland award in 2015 for Jock Stein. She has two children and is also a proud grandmother. She lives in Glasgow, Scotland and Rathlin Island, Ireland.
